WALLICE OFF THE RAILS

The title track from Wallice’s upcoming debut EP, Off The Rails, is a glittering example of what we should expect from the release. The US singer-songwriter is capable of delivering hook after hook over simplistic beats, before diving forwards into a menagerie of musical inventiveness that blurs the genre lines. The chorus is almost pop-punk, while the second verse introduces thick pop bass synths. The video for ‘Off The Rails’, directed by Jerry Maestas, sees Wallice stuck in a world where her fate is decided by someone else. She explains the tune as “feeling like you don’t have any control over your life and that the world is against you – and that you’re the only one that feels that way.” -Dan Peeke
